Manchester Monarchs
The Manchester Monarchs offer exciting professional ice hockey action and family entertainment at affordable prices. As the top affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, we assist in the development of young players for play in the National Hockey League. We take great effort to make our customer's entertainment experience a positive one in every way. We strive to be a constructive force in the community, investing ourselves and our resources in making a positive impact in the Manchester region and throughout New Hampshire. Over the last six seasons, the Monarchs have advanced to the Calder Cup playoffs each season, making their longest playoff run in 2007 as they advanced to the Eastern Conference final against the Hershey Bears. An average of 8,500 fans have cheered on the Monarchs each season. Manchester ranked first in attendance in not only the American Hockey League but also led the more than 90 other North American minor pro hockey teams in existence for the 2003-04 and 2005-06 seasons.
The Monarchs Care Foundation, the charitable arm of the Monarchs, has distributed $1,400,000 in cash, merchandise and tickets back to the community. Several area organizations that have benefited from these donations include the Ace Bailey Children's Fund, Big Brother Big Sisters Manchester, Boys & Girls Club of Manchester, Catholic Medical Center, Child Health Services, Heritage United Way, New Hampshire Legends of Hockey, Special Olympics of New Hampshire and Toys for Tots.
Cannon Mountain
Cannon Mountain has 60 trails, 9 lifts, and terrain for all ability levels. Cannon has the longest vertical drop and the highest lift-served terrain in New Hampshire, and the state's only aerial tramway. Cannon Mountain is based in Franconia Notch State Park, recently named America's Seventh Most Beautiful State Park by www.americasbestonline.com, and is located directly off I-93.
Meadowbrook U.S. Cellular Pavilion
The Meadowbrook U.S. Cellular Pavilion, on the shores of beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee, in Gilford, New Hampshire, started as a vision on a grass field in the middle of a tree farm. We have since evolved into northern New England's premier summer concert venue. The Meadowbrook U.S. Cellular Pavilion is Northern New England's Largest Amphitheatre with 3,200 seats under a large pavilion roof and a spectacular lawn seating area for an additional 3,000 patrons.
